Its getting cold here but thankfully we are still snow free. I dont know why but as soon as the colder temperatures arrive I crave white. Everything I try on is light in colour so I couldnt help myself when I ordered this jacket from Romwe. Not at all warm, but so soft, perfect for layering. We are freezing over here, -33 today! This glorious winter has taken away the simplest joys of outdoors, like walks to a corner store or a Starbucks run. Dont you just love discovering things that you didnt even know you had...I purchased this jacket mid July and I completely forgot about it. I love that its hip lenght, warm and the red silk-like lining makes it feel real luxurious. My Lita's have been traffic stopping, I was walking the other day, a bus driver stopped and yelled out that he saw my shoes from way down the street and had to tell me to rock on...lol...He made my day!

On another note, Im super excited about this beautiful necklace that I received.

These photos were taken before I became bed ridden, Im talking flu that kicked me off my feet, no joke I am in bed for a week already, and I have a whole new perspective on the phrase pain in my ass!
Every time Im sick I tend to make lists of changes that I need to make in life; mostly to eat better, drink more, dress warmer, whats missing, and how do I get it...This time I`ve been pondering about my style.
I think its easy to fall for trends, we have all done it, some of us still do it, and theres nothing wrong with it, but Im taking this week to re evaluate my own personal style. Im hoping during this feverish state I have an epiphany that will give me clear idea of what my style really is because I feel drawn to so many different things, and Im not sure if its normal. A few more photos from my vacation, these were taken at Makarska beach in Croatia where I stayed for a week with cousins and my sister Tanja, gorgeous girl in the last pic :) Our adventure to Croatia began with me leaving my purse on top of our car at first pit stop, realizing 10 minutes too late, making a U turn on the highway, watching cars drive over my purse praying the big truck doesnt crush my blackberry, running out frantically collecting all my items, relieved that everything was in tact and passports didnt fly off the cliff. So many thoughts were running through my head, like when would I see husband again, and why didnt I pack more clothes in case of any random incidents like this! Almost left without money, credit cards, or id, what else could happen....well about an hour later we slammed on our brakes as one of the sheep escaped rest of the crowd and decided to cross the road. Sadly she was hit but walked away only with a limp, I swear I cried cause I knew as soon its discovered she was hurt, that would be the end of her :(
It was a rough start, but rest of the week was pure leisure; discovering hot spots, dancing in caves till dawn, stumbling and enjoying beach life.

Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light;

Being away and taking a break gives you a new perspective on things.
My trip was bitter sweet, I am renewed and changed in a sense, and I needed some time to take in what I've learned and seen last couple of weeks. As I walked the city streets where I grew up, I thought I would be sad, but I wasnt, I felt so alive...Seeing my cousins for the first time, spending time in the house I grew up in, visiting my old school, the mountains, meeting old friends yet again, it all felt very strange... but warming.
I still feel attached to the memories of my life there, and probably always will, but this time it was so different, naturally. It was my old life, which until now just felt like a distant dream, like another lifetime. I now feel at peace, because I know I am where I belong, my happiness today wouldnt be without the tragic events that led me to a new start and Im grateful for each and every moment!

I dont blame you if you feel abondanded, summer life has taken its course and led me away from online pleasures. I'm leaving Aug 7th for three weeks travelling to Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia and I'm hoping to post from there as much as I can. Going back to where it all began, I am nervous, excited and beyond overwhelmed to reunite with family and old friends after 17 yrs.
Deep connection that I still hold in my heart for my homeland has me on edge and I swear at any moment I could cry away. The wooden cross that Im wearing here was given to me by a priest before I left and holds a special place in my heart. Its been a superheated weekend, we slacked off on everything we planned to do, instead visited friends, drank too much, slept too little and stopped caring along the way about any responsibilities that included thought... oh yes thinking was not allowed. Dressing was even a drag. I wanted to run around bare...ok thats a lie...I will always prefer clothes to a naked body. But this dress was very light... but pretty, maybe too pretty. Im not sure if its a keeper just yet. Husband likes it a lot, what do you guys think?

Finally I wore the leather shorts that I picked up at the clothing show.
It will be a new go to item when I'm unsure and too lazy to put an outfit together, whether with a girly blouse or a vintage tee, these shorts will also transiton well from summer to winter. Brown has always been a color I graviate towards mostly when it comes to bags and boots, but these chocolate shorts are refreshing and as versatile as black would be.

We spent the day at Botanical gardens just outside of the city, we try to go once a year and get lost in the beauty of green, flowers and silence. Do you guys like this hat? Im finally trying denim on denim trend, I wasnt sure if my combination was too close in color but Im pleased with its effect. For some reason this look made me feel badass yet girly. I like the detailing on the shirt, and the vintage bag is one of the pieces I picked up at the clothing show. I love the softness of the leather, too bad you cant see the details in these photos.

The clothing show was a success, I walked away with couple of vintage dresses, gorgeous high-wasted leather shorts, sunglasses, lots of jewellery and I finally found a black purse that I love.

Im always happy when surrounded by flowers, and in this case wearing the beautiful blossoms.
The leggings are cheerful and floral pattern is large and unique, reminds me of a pair of psychadelic pants I wore back in high school. I will have to try and dig them up, I can never throw away anything colorful. I shopped this weekend and most of my purchases were pastels and whites, including these dusty rose shoes that will simply compliment most of my wardrobe at the moment.

During our weakest moments we ponder and discover the depths of our fears and our need to evolve into our better selves. Last three months I've been doing just that. I was never a fan of watches, I refused to wear one when I was younger and that hasn't changed today.

Tonight we're having our annual Bob Marley celebration, its his birthday and we honor this visionary because he's made an enourmous impact in our lives. His lyrics thought us about life, love, importance of social and economic justice, freedom and peace!

In 2002 Jakob and I took a trip to Jamaica to visit his home, burial grounds and the museum, and needless to say we were changed...it was one of the most emotional and humbling moments standing inside this mans bedroom, walking the grounds and sitting on the famous rock where he meditated regularly and wrote some of his legendary songs. Most of the time I spent in tears, and was concoled by this beautiful old rastafarian who hugged me and spoke to me about Love and Bob's vision.

Those memories will forever live on, just as Bob's songs filled with words of faith, devotion and revolution will forever live on!

The trip was topped off with Jakob proposing, which made Jamaica a very special place for us..
